In no less than 1000 words,  you will tell the story of an encounter with a meaningful text within a community where you feel/felt accepted and heard. This should be a community you either currently belong to or have belonged to in the past. Using concepts from the readings/class discussions and your own observations, you will present a coherent examination of the way the text is an example of a genre (or sub-genre) in that community and the way that genre operates in the discourse community to which you have a personal connection.
